Shoppers tell police about their concerns in Bourne

POLICE chatted to supermarket shoppers about crime during an information event on Wednesday.

The Bourne and Billingborough Neighbourhood Policing Team were at Tesco in South Street, Bourne during the afternoon.

The team was available to chat and were asking members of the public what concerns they had.

Members of the team were also giving crime prevention advice, looking for new members to join the Lincs Alert scheme, an online police message system.

They were also cycle marking.

Police community support officer Eamonn McLean was pleased with how the event went.

He said: “We are holding these every month to engage with the public and it went quite well.

“Lots of people stopped to talk to us during the afternoon and we gave out crime prevention advice, as well as signing people up to our Lincs Alert scheme.”
