Mobile library should alter times

A MOBILE library visits a village at the wrong time of day according to a parish councillor.

Dowsby Parish Council chairman Len Rodford is calling on people to make use of the service provided by Lincolnshire County Council which is at risk of being taken away if villagers don’t use it.

Coun Rodford, of Main Road, Dowsby, said it is a service which needs to be retained, but added: “The service visits at such an awkward time. Most of the people in the village are out at work when it comes and the children are at school.”

Coun Eddy Poll (Con), who is the executive member for cultural services at the county council, said other stops on this route are also served during the daytime, yet manage to attract customers perfectly well.
