GP surgery in Corby Glen could be turned into dance studio
A DOCTOR’S surgery could be transformed into a dance studio and cafe if given the green light.
The Dance Academy has submitted a planning application to South Kesteven District Council to change the use of the Market Cross Surgery, in Market Place, Corby Glen, which will be moving to new premises shortly.
Dance school principal Jane Brown hopes they will get the go-ahead to make a permanent home for their business.
Mrs Brown, of Barleycroft Road, Corby Glen, will be running the academy while her husband Tim will take charge of the cafe if their proposal is accepted.
The Dance Academy has been running for five years and Mrs Brown said it is time for the school to take the next step.
She said: “We are really excited as a school that we may finally be able to have our own premises.”
The new Market Cross Surgery is being built on part of the Charles Read High School’s playing fields, in Bourne Road, Corby Glen. The opening of the new medical centre is due to take place in spring.
