Lincolnshire Family History SocietyTHE Bourne Branch of the Lincolnshire Family History Society will hold its first formal meeting of the year on Tuesday, when the speaker will
be the internationally renowned genealogist, Michael Gandy.
Michael is the editor of the Genealogist's Magazine published by the Society of Genealogists and has written several books on tracing Catholic ancestry utilising his personal experiences of over 40 years of tracing his own ancestry.
This will be a rare opportunity for those local to the area with Catholic ancestry to obtain tips on how to go about tracing their own ancestry directly from one of the leading experts in this field, and will also be of interest to any researcher who may discover in the future that they have Catholic ancestry.
The meeting will be held at the United Reformed Church Hall, Eastgate, Bourne, and the doors will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. The meeting is free for anyone to attend regardless of whether or not they are a member of the Society.
Refreshments will be available during the evening and the branch book stall will be open offering a wide range of Lincolnshire Family History Society publications.
